Chakra - is a Sanskrit word used by Hindus. It means Wheels of Light. Each of the seven traditional chakras has a physical, emotional, mental, and a spiritual component.

Physical body - all survival needs and self-preservation instincts are influenced by this body. Physical sensations, pleasure and pain, and emotional rage.

Emotional body - where all emotions are processed

Mental - thoughts, opinions and judgments originate from this chakra and are controlled by it.

Spiritual - where ego dissolves and separation becomes oneness.

The first three chakras, the root, belly, and solar plexus, are basic primary needs, those of survival, procreation, and will.

The next three, the heart, throat, and brow, are more advanced and more mature, defining love, communication and knowledge.

The seventh chakra, the crown, is purely spiritual, connection to the mysteries.
